Camp Priscilla is a 4-day service training camp for girls aged 12 through 18. Campers stay on-site at Sunset Church of Christ under supervision the entire time and participate in a variety of classes, service projects, devotionals, and recreational activities. Teachers are women from Sunset church of Christ, SIBI graduates, and current SIBI students. The goal of the camp is to teach and show our young women what it means to be coworkers in the kingdom and to prepare them for service as they grow and mature. The teaching is coupled with service opportunities, such as visiting widows from our congregation and writing cards of encouragement. We also give the girls the opportunity to lead devotionals for one another and for the women teachers, and provide some general training and advice on public speaking, reading scripture, leading singing, and praying in groups of women. Lastly, we provide a space for these young women to ask questions, express concerns, and start to figure out their places in the kingdom.
