If a person is going to build a career in science, medicine, law, education, business or any other field, he needs a strong foundation that relates to that field. One needs all the knowledge and experience he can possibly get if he is going to do the best job. If a person is going to minister to a church, serve on a mission field, edify and equip the saved for service, he obviously needs a strong biblical foundation. He must be a student of the BOOK.
An earned religious degree from Sunset is a testimony to the commitment, discipline and sacrifice the graduate has demonstrated in the field of Biblical study. The intensive course study, plus spending time in personal study and research, development of the spiritual disciplines and participation in practical ministry projects all help the student to build a solid foundation for a lifetime pursuit of ministry.
