About the Congregation
Hub City is a unique work. Starting in late 2014, the congregation has grown tremendously. While our
primary focus is on honoring God and His Word, our elders feel it is also important to give careful and
prayerful consideration as to how that is done. Here you will certainly find some elements that are
considered traditional to churches of Christ in the United States. However, we strive to be very mindful
and intentional about what we do as well as how we do it. We hope that those who worship with us find
our love for the Lord much more visible than our love for traditions.
You will find a diverse group of people here from very different religious backgrounds. Some of our
members grew up in more conservative settings and others did not. Still, here, we find unity in our love
for the Lord and His Word.
The man we are looking for to come and work with us must understand and embody this. We will
certainly never compromise what God expects from us. However, we will also not dishonor Him by rigid
or ungracious attitudes and behavior. We may not always agree with one another, but we will always
respect and show our love for each other.
It is important to the leaders and members of Hub City that all feel comfortable once they walk through
our door regardless of background or appearance. We want to answer the biblical expectations of a
congregation to be the pillar and ground of truth (1 Timothy 3:15) while operating as a loving body,
members of one another (Romans 12:5).
